Account deletion

1. General principle

You can request the permanent deletion of your Charlieverse account and all associated data at any time. Deletion is irreversible and will remove your access to your content, avatars and interactions.

2. How to request deletion

• From the app (recommended): go to the "Profile" tab > "Settings" button > Delete my account.
• By email: send your request to support@charlieverse.app from the email address linked to your account, with the subject line “Account deletion”.

3. Identity verification

To protect your account, we may ask you to confirm your identity (confirmation email or information linked to the account). Requests sent from an email address that does not match the account may be rejected.

4. Timeframe and scope of deletion

• Processing time: within 30 days from receipt of a valid request.
• Data that will be deleted: profile, avatars, posts, comments, reactions, settings and notifications.
• Backups: encrypted traces may temporarily remain in technical backups (limited retention period) and are then automatically purged during backup rotation cycles.
• Legal obligations: some minimal information may be kept to prevent abuse, ensure security or comply with legal requirements.

5. Impact on visible content

Content you have posted and that has been reused by other users may become invisible or be de-listed. If partial anonymisation is required for technical reasons (e.g. discussion threads), any remaining data will not allow you to be identified.
