1. App overview and publisher
The Charlieverse app (hereafter “the App”) is published by:

2. Purpose of the Terms
These Terms and Conditions (T&C) define the rules for using the Charlieverse App. By using the App, you fully and unconditionally accept these T&C.
3. Access and registration
- The App is free to use.
- Registration is only open to users aged 13 or older.
- Some features require creating a user account.
- The publisher may modify, suspend or discontinue the App without notice.
4. Features and community system
Charlieverse lets users publish and interact using avatars:
- Revealed avatars: publicly linked to the account.
- Unrevealed avatars: anonymous and community-moderated through the Trust-O-Meter (TOM).
Interactions and reports influence content reliability and visibility.
5. User behaviour and moderation
Users agree to:
- Not post illegal or harmful content (hate, harassment, threats, defamation, glorification of crimes, child exploitation, etc.).
- Treat other users respectfully.
- Not use the App for fraudulent activity.
The publisher applies a zero-tolerance policy toward harmful or unsafe content. Accounts or content that violate these T&C may be removed without notice. Anonymous content is moderated via the TOM system. Non-anonymous content is validated by a moderator.
6. Intellectual property
The publisher owns the name, logo, design and all elements of the App.
Users retain ownership of content they publish, but grant the publisher a worldwide,
non-exclusive and free licence to host and display it.
Users guarantee they have full rights over the content they post.
7. Personal data
Data collected is used solely to operate and improve the App.
All communications with servers are encrypted and hosted on AWS (Europe).
Users may request deletion of their account and data at any time.
No data is sold to third parties.

8. Liability
The publisher does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access.
Users remain responsible for the content they publish.
The publisher cannot be held liable for direct or indirect damages related to the use of the App.
9. Changes to the Terms and Conditions
These T&C may be updated at any time. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated T&C.
10. Applicable law and jurisdiction
These T&C are governed by French law. Any dispute falls under the jurisdiction of the courts attached to the Court of Appeal of Clermont-Ferrand.
